Notes on Registration

When existing members enter their email addresses into the Registration system, they are sent a return email message with a link to allow them to complete registration. This return email is usually received within a minute or two. If it does not arrive, check your spam email box.

Roles at the OAPT Conference

When registering you will be invited to select your Role at the Conference.

Delegate is an attendee who will pay the full conference fee to attend. Most attendees will select this role.

Elementary School Teachers may attend the conference at no charge, but will be charged a one-year membership in the OAPT - $20.

First or Second Year Teacher is an attendee who will pay reduced fees .

Retired Teacher or Professor is an attendee who will pay reduced fees.

Pre-Service Teachers who are currently registered in a Faculty or College of Education are offered a reduced registration at the conference. Pre-Service Teachers must claim their one year free membership, expiring May 31 2012, before registering for the conference, otherwise the registration system will charge a one year membership fee.

Guest of OAPT. This role is reserved for guests invited by the Conference Committee, such as distinguished speakers from outside Ontario.

Host The host institution, will involve many members of staff and students, both undergraduate and graduate, in the planning and running of the conference. We offer free attendance at the barbecue and conference as a way of saying thank you.

Lead Speaker For each workshop session, the Lead Speaker is provided with free conference registration for the day on which they are presenting. If there are multiple presenters, only one speaker can be designated as the Lead Speaker. If the Lead Speaker wishes to attend on other days, regular conference fees apply to the other days.

Please Register. It is important that all those involved in the conference register so that we have accurate counts for the barbecue and other events. It also allows us to print name tags for everyone.

Membership The Annual Membership Fee of $20.00 will be added both for memberships expiring on May 31, and for non-members.

Select the Workshop of your choice. Once they are full, you will not be able to select them.

Selecting the Barbecue and the Wine and Cheese

Select these no-charge options only if you plan to attend, otherwise food and money will be wasted.
