Everything is About Physics

This presentation presents strategies to make physics more interesting and relevant to students. Through in-class examples and discussions, and a major inquiry project, students are made aware that “everything” is about physics. Students are led to connect physics principles with their daily lives, future careers and hobbies. Students choose a topic to make links between sports, heath science, medical equipment and physics. They conduct research, build a model or do an experiment for their major project. In some cases, students communicate with experts in the fields related to their project, thus learning from the best! Technology is used to present the project at the school and science fairs. Students have won various awards at such fairs. In this presentation, it is also proposed that students bring examples of modern applications and papers to the class.
