Notes on Registration

When existing members enter their email addresses into the Registration system, they are sent a return email message with a link to allow them to complete registration. This return email is usually received within a minute or two. If it does not arrive, check your spam email box.

Roles at the OAPT Conference

When registering you will be invited to select your Role at the Conference.

Delegate is an attendee who will pay the full conference fee to attend. Most attendees will select this role.

First or Second Year Teacher is an attendee who will pay fees reduced by 20%.

Retired Teacher or Professor is an attendee who will pay fees reduced by 20%.

Those who register with the following roles do not pay conference fees.

Guest of OAPT. This role is reserved for guests invited by the Conference Committee, such as Speakers from outside Ontario.

Pre-Service Teachers who are currently registered in a Faculty or College of Education are offered free registration at the conference.

Ryerson, as the host institution, will involve many members of staff and students, both undergraduate and graduate, in the planning and running of the conference. We offer free attendance at the barbecue and conference as a way of saying thank you.

It is important that all those involved in the conference register so that we have accurate counts for the barbecue and other events. It also allows us to print name tags for everyone.

Selecting Workshops and Tours

Select the Workshop and Tour of your choice. Once they are full, you will not be able to select them.

Selecting the Barbecue and Banquet

Select these only if you plan to attend, otherwise food and money will be wasted.

Paying for the Conference

We accept payment by cheque or PayPal.
Make your cheque out to Ontario Association of Physics Teachers.

Please Register Early

It helps the conference committee significantly if members register early. As an incentive, the conference fees increase for registrations received after the Early Bird cut off date.

Changing Your Mind

If you change your mind after you have registered, send an email to the
conference chair.
