Chris Howes

 

Christopher Howes is the Programs Facilitator, Science/Technology K-12 for the Durham District School Board. He has spent 23 of his 27 years with Durham District School Board as a secondary Physics teacher. Howes is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Specialist degree in Physics. He attended the Faculty of Education (PEMSTEP) at the University of Western Ontario, and has his Honours Specialist in Physics. Christopher Howes has co-authored two Physics textbooks and has advised on/reviewed many other curriculum resources. He has written for the Ontario Ministry of Education and currently teaches the Physics ABQ at Queen’s University. Howes is a firm believer that technology can be used as a learning multiplier. One of his primary areas of interest is seeking new ways that technology can be used to leverage students’ learning in Science classes.
