Nadia Camara

Gr 11/12 inquiry practical exam

The way we teach science has changed over the years. We have now realized the benefit of inquiry based learning in developing students skills in science. Evaluating inquiry based learning however; is a concern for educators. Participants in this workshop will leave with a classroom ready inquiry based summative tool that meets the needs of students and teachers. Participants will work through the summative activity from the students’ perspective and will see how this activity addresses the four broad areas of skills; initiating and planning, performing and recording, communicating and analyzing and interpreting.

Nadia Camara is a high school physics teacher at Richmond Hill High School. She brings with her 17 years of teaching experience and an enthusiasm for inquiry based learning in science.
