Myths and Joys of Teaching Physics Online

This session will address the myths attached to, the reasons for, and the positive aspects of teaching physics online or in a hybrid mode. The methods and best practices of this style of teaching will be discussed as well. The presenter will also share the ideas with the attendees.

 

Anjuli Ahooja, PhD (physics) is the AP physics teacher and Curriculum Chair for at Appleby College in Oakville. She initiated and led the FIRST Robotics team at Appleby College for three years. She is working with Pearson Publishers as a unit author for gr 11/12 physics texts, with McGraw Hill Ryerson as an author of the physics strands of their grade 9 and 10 homework books. Prior to this, Anjuli was Associate Dean and Chair of Electronics Engineering Technology programs at DeVry College of Technology, leading numerous ‘Women in Technology’ workshops. Anjuli is an active member of SCCAO, STAO, OAPT and NSTA and. She is a member of NSTA’s College Teaching Committee. Anjuli lives in Mississauga with her husband and two sons. Her interests include, learning new technologies, helping new immigrants, traveling, meeting people, cooking, watching television and having LOT OF FUN!!
