Tetyana Antimirova

An Outreach Initiative at Ryerson University

We will describe the outreach initiative being developed by the Department of Physics at Ryerson University to create and strengthen the ties between the university faculty and the local schools teachers' community. This initiative is aimed first and foremost at high school physics teachers in the GTA. If successful, the pilot will be extended to all of the Province of Ontario.

Biography

Dr. Tetyana Antimirova is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics at Ryerson University. Her current interests include Physics Education Research, Curriculum Development, Science Education and Outreach. Her current work is focused on the implementation of Activity Based Physics Curriculum. She is a member of CAP, OAPT and AAPT. Tetyana credits her interest in physics and her career choice to her high school teachers.
